The Fire Fighting, Rescue and Medical Response Section develops standards guidelines for the deployment of fire brigades and emergency physicians at sea.
We conceive and organise:
- Medical response for injured and sick persons
- Fire fighting
- General technical support
For this purpose we deploy the fire brigades of many German coastal cities. Additionally, we co-ordinate the co-operation of the fire brigades with authorities and organisations, which deploy vessels and helicopters.
The staff training team devices and conducts exercises with the MERAC as well as with the crisis staff and runs alerting and communication exercises. We support CCME's exercises a sea and on shore. Furthermore, we organise and run training courses for continuing education of all CCME's personnel, for other authorities, institutions and organisations concerned with maritime emergencies response.
